"The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, also known as Punchbowl National Cemetery, is a cemetery established in Honolulu that is a memorial to those who served in the United States Armed Forces. The name is derived from the Pu’owaina Crater that it is located in what is just a part of the dramatic natural beauty of the cemetery’s setting. Since the memorial was dedicated on September 2, 1949, 34,000 veterans of WWI, WWII, the Korean, and Vietnam Wars have been immortalized here. The memorial is open daily and admission is free."
